The Heroes Treasure Hunt
Guide to Finding Resources

The following is a guide to steer you toward resources that will provide the information you need to complete your hero project. These are basically the same strategies as used in the deity assignment earlier this semester with a few additions. You may need to devise searches to find information on your particular hero. If you need assistance, please ask your instructor or a librarian for assistance.

Printed Resources

LIBROS online catalog – will direct you to print resources

Below are suggested search strings to perform WORD searches in LIBROS:

greek* and hero*
hero or heros
myth* and (greek* or greco)
classic* and literature

To find specifically what is in UNM-LA’s library, limit your search to UNM-Los Alamos.

Perform a title search on "oxford classical dictionary" to find the call number for this source.
