Música Antigua de Albuquerque

Youth Consort

The Música Antigua Youth Consort was formed during the 1998-99 season. Its members are select high school students who want to expand their musical horizons by exploring the world of medieval and Renaissance music. The students are able to try a variety of period instruments, including the recorder, viola da gamba, harp, vielle, rebec, and others. The group gives at least one concert each year in the spring. If you are interested in hearing this talented group of young people, please contact Música Antigua for their performance schedule.

Current members of the group are Molly Kearney, Albert Liu, Allison Stevens, and Will Vining.

Molly Kearney is a senior at Valley High School, where she plays cello and
is president of the Valley High Orchestra.
 

Albert Liu is a senior at Albuquerque Academy, where he is a member of the band under the direction of Hovey Dean Corbin, Jr.,  Albert also plays flute in the Albuquerque Youth Symphony.

 

Allison Stevens is a junior at Albuquerque Academy and plays viola in the orchestra under the direction of Jonathan Armerding.  She is also a member of the Albuquerque Youth Symphony.


 
Will Vining is a senior at Albuquerque High School, where he plays in the AHS Early Music Ensemble. His other interests include competitive rock climbing.
