It is the policy of the University of New Mexico that smoking is permitted only in designated areas. This policy is in compliance with the New Mexico Clean Indoor Air Act, 1985, as amended. As per the University's Business Policies and Procedures Manual, Policy #3775, Section 2.2, and effective Oct. 1, 1992, smoking is not permitted in any UNM-Los Alamos building.
