The following are the allowable grades and associated grade points for
fractional grading:
A+ = 4.33
A = 4.00
A- = 3.67
B+ = 3.33
B = 3.00
B- = 2.67
C = 2.00
C+ = 2.33
C- = 1.67
D+ = 1.33
D = 1.00
D- = 0.67
F = 0.00
NOTE: F+ and F- are not valid grades.
The cumulative grade point average will never go above 4.00. The .33 on the A+
is calculated in when the student’s GPA falls below a 4.00. Example: First
semester A student receives an A+ cumulative GPA=4.00. Second semester a student
receives an A- cumulative GPA=4.00 as the .33 was then added into the
calculation.
