From a computer on the UNM-Los Alamos campus network (LAMIS cannot be accessed from off campus) login using your local username/password.
Start Internet Explorer (some of the other browsers may produce unexpected results)
Connect to http://lamis/vmis/ (File, Open, fill in the address or just type the address in the Address bar)
If you are using one of the secure wireless networks on campus (UNMLA-LEAP or UNMLA-PEAP) you will be presented with a prompt for username and password (UNMLA-Guest will not provide access). If the prompt only has spaces for username and password, enter UNMLA as part of the username (ie, UNMLA\username). If the prompt has spaces for username, password and domain enter UNMLA as the domain. After logging on you should see a window like the one below.

Click on the Attendance link to pulldown the menu.
Click on Update

Because of some quirks in Banner, your name may appear in a variety of ways.
If your class doesn’t appear, click the down arrow to get a pulldown listing of the name entries and select another rendition of your name. See the examples in the next few windows.

Student names will appear here

If this is the class you need, choose the week and place the check marks as needed. (It might be quicker to click the “C” under the day of the week and then click off the ones NOT in attendance)
NOTE: If you click Save Changes you can always come back to edit the week.
But, if you Post Changes to Database the week is locked from further changes.
You can post grades on LAMIS at the end of the term but it IS NOT the official location. The official is done through you Faculty life tab in MyUNM (main campus).
If you run into problems at any stage contact me (Anthony Valdez) so we can look into them.
I’m learning the system at the same time you are and don’t know what problems will show up but once we solve them I can add to this page and/or head them off in the future.
